Edward Nicholson
Chairman
Edward was appointed Chairman in 2021, after serving as a Non-Executive Director of Crossflow Energy between 2012-2021.
He has had a long career in investment banking and strategy consultancy at Barclays de Zoete Wedd and McKinsey & Company, and then the provision of advisory services to private businesses and their owners, with a particular focus on Latin America.
He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Professor Mark Cross
Advisor to the Board
With over 40 years’ experience in the field of computational modelling, analysis and optimisation of engineering processes and systems, he pioneered the concept of simulation-based design using advanced numerical methods on high-performance parallel computers. He has worked with Crossflow Energy since its conceptual design, providing essential technology support to the Board.
Juan-Enrique Rassmuss
Non-Executive Director
Juan-Enrique is one of the principal investors in Crossflow Energy, and has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since April 2012.
Away from Crossflow he manages his family’s investments in steel, oil and gas, industrials, alternative energy, transport, agriculture and mining.
Jonathan Hale
Non-Executive Director
Jonathan became a Non-Executive Director in 2013. He has over 35 years of commercial and financial experience in the aerospace, energy, mining and consulting sectors.
Prior to joining Crossflow Energy, Jonathan was Director of Strategy for Rolls Royce and a member of its group executive for ten years. He also has an MBA from Harvard School of Business Administration and a MA and BA from Cambridge University in Metallurgy and Materials Science.
Stephen Brown
Non-Executive Director
Stephen has been a Non-Executive Director of Crossflow Energy since 2021.
With over 27 years in energy and emerging technologies, Stephen is COO and CSO at ABD plc, previously holding rolls at BP, Vestas Wind Systems, and Rolls Royce.
Rob Ellis
Wind Technologist
Rob has over 35 years’ experience in innovative product design within the renewable sector, across EU and US.
He has an extensive knowledge of design to the commercial evaluation of wind farms.
Ian Mash
Board Advisor
Ian has more than 40 years of experience in the ICT industry, operating within product management, product management, and strategy at BT and more recently Huawei.
He also has over 15 years as a global business consultant to Mobile Network Operators across the globe.
